Why I want to be a JET Beauty: Since it’s inception, JET has been a staple in the African-American community. The publication’s ability to remain informative, thoughtful, entertaining, and culturally relevant are the qualities that have long been appreciated by its readers, including myself. The JET Beauty feature continues to celebrate the Black woman and her transcendent beauty, both outwardly and inward. JET has been uncompromising in its reverence for Black beauty and sophistication. To be a JET Beauty is to be an ambassador of all of the aforementioned, and for myself, it would be an absolute honor and privilege to represent in this capacity.
