WHY SHE WANTS TO BE A JET BEAUTY: Over the years, JET has shown that beauty comes in all shapes, sizes and shades and I am all about promoting natural beauty within the Black community.
WHO HAS INFLUENCED HER LIFE: My mother is the strongest woman I know. People say I act just like her and it’s always a compliment in my eyes. She has taught me to love myself first, to know that hard work pays off, and always to remain humble along my life journey. I’m not sure what kind of person I would be today if she was not in my life.
WHAT BEING A BEAUTY MEANS TO HER: It means so much to me because of what JET magazine represents. I love being able to inspire women to have confidence in themselves and to be ambitious in the goals they set. I am grateful for such an awesome opportunity to be a JET beauty and provide a positive image for black women.
DREAM DATE: Probably a nice restaurant, but for me it’s more so the conversation that I want to be great. I’ve always wanted to meet a guy who could just capture me intellectually because that is highly attractive in my eyes. Material things only go so far, but if the conversation keeps me interested, that would be the best date for me.
BEST/WORST PICK-UP LINE: “Miss, you dropped something.” So. I looked down thinking I really did, and then he said “My heart.” I laughed so hard! I had never heard that line before.
IF SHE COULD MEET ANYONE FROM BLACK HISTORY: Definitely Rosa Parks, because I believe she has so much wisdom that I could learn from her. She was a part of something historic, and I could learn so much from her that I would have not been able to learn from the average person.
GUILTY PLEASURE: Anything that’s Red Velvet.
CELEBRITY CRUSH: Trey Songz. Always wanted to date someone that could sing, and his face is gorgeous.
DREAM VACATION: Italy. I am half Italian, and I would love to visit and learn more about my culture. Plus, I know a few people that have been there before and just from the pictures alone, I know I would love it there.
